Generally I am interested in survival stories and books about civilized society breaking down, but this novel was a pain to get through/5. The book opens with the main character (Grace) in jail on trial for murder; the book them jumps back to when Grace and 38 others were 'saved' on a life boat after their ocean liner has sank.
The tale then unravels into how, for 21 days, these survivors have to survive life on the ocean in an overcrowded life boat filled with mainly women /5().
